About the role

The Outer East Specialist Child Team works to improve the outcomes for infants and children, 0-12 years, and their families, experiencing significant emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties, alongside a range of vulnerabilities, including trauma and family violence. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will manage a designated caseload providing mental health assessment and intervention for infants and children under 12 years of age, and their families. You will be involved in developing and maintain a positive team culture, working collaboratively to deliver high quality clinical care and improved health and wellbeing outcomes for referred children and their families. You will also provide discipline specific assessment and interventions, where required.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Current registration OT, Clinical Psychology or Nursing registration with APRHA. Social work eligibility for membership with AASW
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • A desire to engage in reflective practise within a team environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
     

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
