About the role

 

The Lilydale Community Team provides advanced mental health assessment and evidence-based treatments for young people who are experiencing complex mental health concerns, psychological distress and other psycho-social concerns, working closely with families and other supports. The team is looking for a Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist to join as a RPN3/Grade 2 clinician. As the successful candidate, you would hold a caseload of allocated clients and be supported by senior clinicians in the team along with the team leader and consultant psychiatrist. The team has a strong focus on providing high quality care and providing opportunities for learning, reflective supervision and ongoing professional development. The Lilydale team is based at Yarra Ranges Health and is close to public transport, cafes and shops. There is ample all day, free parking in the area. 

 

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Qualified OT with 1 year of experience and registration with AHPRA
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration, approved post graduate training in psychiatric nursing and 24 months post graduate experience.
  • Post Graduate qualifications in developmental psychiatry course, family therapy or child psychotherapy are desirable but not essential
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
