About the role

• Assisting residents with personal care and other activities of daily living, maintaining freedom of choice, independence, privacy and dignity
• Assists maintenance of a hygienic and safe environment for residents, visitors and staff
• Communicates effectively with all members of the team, residents and their families in delivery of resident care
• Observes residents and reports any changes in resident health or wellbeing, incidents or adverse events to the nurse in charge on shift.
• Carries out duties in accordance of scope of practice and Eastern Health’s policies and procedures. · Demonstrates attention to the needs of residents and their families in respect of their privacy and dignity

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Certificate 111 in Health Services Assistant or equivalent
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
