Uckfield College is a highly successful and popular 11-18 school in the heart of rural Sussex yet within commuting distance of Brighton, Eastbourne and the South Coast.  The College is an excellent working environment characterised by happy, well-motivated students and innovative and enthusiastic teachers. Following our inspection in April 2024, Uckfield College was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by Ofsted, both as the overall judgement, and in each of the different categories that are evaluated. The Technology department is housed with superb resourcing in our new main school building.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Teacher of Design and Technology to join our forward-thinking Technology team. Applicants need to be capable of motivating students to ‘love learning for life’ through their teaching of this fantastic and highly-valued subject.  The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and proactive professional who will be responsible for providing excellent teaching in the classroom for Design and Technology and who will contribute to our exceptional Super Curricular programme. This position would be suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced educator.
