At Grangemead, a top-tier respite and emergency service for adults with learning disabilities located in Hailsham, we are looking for a passionate support workers to join our dedicated team. Our beautifully refurbished facility provides a warm, hotel-style atmosphere complete with ensuite accommodations and interactive sensory equipment to enrich our guests’ experiences.
We offer a fun holiday experience for both long and short respite stays, promoting life skills, independence, community presence, and opportunities for guests to forge new friendships. Our emergency services accommodate individuals facing challenging life circumstances such as safeguarding issues, homelessness, illness, bereavement, or the end of placement with caregivers.
As a support worker, your responsibilities will include a range of tasks from administering medication to engaging guests in enjoyable activities, You will also support guests with a wide range of support needs, from low-level support to high and complex requirements, including PEG feeding, managing behaviours that challenge, and providing moving and handling support.
This role also entails performing security checks and maintaining cleanliness to uphold Grangemead’s high standards, ensuring a safe environment for all guests.

We are seeking candidates with the following skills:
Our rotas operate on a 6-week rolling schedule, with Support Workers completing both early shifts from 07:30 to 14:00 and late shifts from 15:00 to 21:30, please note this includes working 2 in every 3 weekends.
