We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and creative teacher to join our successful and friendly primary school just outside Uckfield.  This role is full-time and fixed until 31 August 2026, with a start date from February, teaching a Year 2,3 and 4 class. It’s a wonderful opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where you can make a real difference.
 

We warmly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and will provide a comprehensive induction, mentoring, and ongoing professional development to support your success
 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a strong knowledge of the curriculum and understand the role of assessment in securing progress.

  • Have experience working within KS1 or KS2 (although this is not essential for ECTs).

  • Be passionate about providing high-quality learning opportunities.

  • Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.

  • Show a firm commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities.

  • Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

  • Demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.

  • Support and contribute to the ethos of our school.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.  

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
