The Skylark Federation would like to appoint a Head of School for Plumpton Primary School. The Skylark Federation is made up of four schools, Barcombe CE, Hamsey, Iford and Kingston CE and Plumpton Primary Schools – all schools near Lewes in East Sussex.
The Head of School role offers an exciting opportunity for an aspirational leader to play a key role in the leadership of Plumpton Primary School and its community. Applications are invited from experienced teachers and school leaders with the skills and desire to lead others and raise standards in teaching and learning.
We are seeking that special person who will support us in continuing to provide an excellent standard of education whilst driving school improvement forward. You will be an outstanding teaching and learning practitioner with the skills to translate this into high standards and excellent attainment. The role will have a teaching responsibility of approximately two days a week.
Working with our Executive Head Teacher, you will be responsible for translating a clearly articulated vision into action. You will help lead and manage the school day-to-day and work as part of a team in managing the strategic direction of the school. We are looking for a dynamic Head of School to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in the future development of our Federation.
The successful candidate will:
Be an excellent teaching practitioner
Ideally have a proven and effective middle and senior leadership and management experience
Have the ability to lead curriculum development, learning, teaching and assessment
Have very good interpersonal skills and be able to motivate children and staff
Be able to promote positive relationships within the school and the wider community
