This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader to help shape the future development of our Outstanding primary SEN academy. Torfield meets the needs of children with Moderate and occasionally Severe Learning Difficulties. A high percentage of children are autistic and a large number have speech, language and communication difficulties. A significant number of our children have other complex difficulties that impact upon their learning.

Applications from outstanding mainstream or special school senior or middle leaders will be especially welcomed.

The successful candidate will be an exceptionally talented and dynamic individual, who can secure improvement, is aspirational for our pupils and who, with the support of the Executive Headteacher and Headteacher, can effectively lead a dedicated team of professionals to build upon existing strengths and develop outstanding provision within the academy. We can offer a highly positive and well-resourced teaching and learning environment, a talented, ambitious and collegiate staff team and pupils who are an absolute pleasure and privilege to work with.

Visits to the school are recommended. If you would like an application pack or an informal discussion with the Headteacher, John Anderson, or you would like to arrange a visit, please contact the Torfield School Secretary on 01424 428228 or at [email protected].
