About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Dual Language Caregiver ( English/Spanish) to join our team in Vincennes, IN.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bilingual (English/Haitian Creole) required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or state equivalency 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or Creole, as applicable) required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with individuals of diverse background

Responsibilities:

  • Follow policies, procedures and guidelines described in ECMHSP content area manuals, Child Care Licensing and OHS Requirements. Adhere to and practice ECMHSP Positive Guidance Policy.
  • Closely supervise and maintain awareness of children at all times.
  • Under the guidance of the teacher/teacher assistant, use ECMHSP School Readiness goals to plan and implement curriculum activities and experiences for children daily on the appropriate lesson plan.
  • Assist teacher/teacher assistant with writing developmentally appropriate observations to assess children’s development according to timelines.
