About the role
Test Operator tests Dyson products, components and systems for function and reliability on a variety of test platforms. Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure. Inspects product for any physical damage or contamination.
- Tests Dyson products, components and systems for function and reliability on a variety of test platforms
- Setup test rigs and equipment in accordance test SOP
- Daily monitoring of testing and recording of test data.
- Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure.
- Places the appropriate test marks on failure location.
- Inspects product for the correct placement and orientation of untested components.
- Communicate and advise on test findings to test technician.
- Perform 5s activities, machine receiving and scrap.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance at specified intervals on testers, chambers, fixtures, etc.
- May train new test operators.
- To always ensure compliance within the lab to legal and Dyson’s policy on occupational health & safety requirements and continuously improve occupational health and safety performance. Practice good housekeeping of test labs.
- To carry out other tasks such as wiring, documentation and troubleshooting problems when required as instructed.
About you
- Completion of a high school diploma, GED, leaving certificate or equivalent is preferred.
- Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
- Must have at least 2 years of work experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry.
- Has basic computer skills.
- Must be resourceful, and assertive.
- Have good communication.
- Knowledgeable in product troubleshooting, de/soldering and repair is an advantage.
- Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage.

- Able to work independently as well as in a group effectively.
