About the Role

As Dyson’s DBS Reporting & Analytics Manager, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of analytics specialists, data engineers, and data scientists. Your primary mission: to architect, advance, and scale Dyson’s analytical capability—turning data into actionable business insights that drive competitive advantage and innovative thinking.

You’ll report to the Senior Manager, DBS Reporting & Analytics, and act as a senior voice in analytics, technical delivery, strategic insight, and the application of machine learning across Dyson’s global business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analytical Leadership

  • Lead, inspire, and scale a high-impact analytics team; drive technical and analytical excellence, promote innovative problem solving, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

  • Architect Dyson’s analytical ecosystem: Set and enforce standards spanning data modeling (dbt), warehouse optimisation (BigQuery), and robust data ingestion (Fivetran), blending best practice with fit-for-purpose agility.

  • Advance reporting platforms: Drive the evolution of executive and operational analytics—build scalable visualizations (Tableau, Power BI) and enable advanced self-service capabilities.

  • Elevate analytics maturity: Embed advanced modeling (predictive, prescriptive), AI/ML integration, and decision intelligence across analytics projects and dashboards.

Advanced Data Engineering, Automation & AI

  • Oversee end-to-end pipeline management: Design, orchestrate, and optimize automated data pipelines (i.e. Fivetran), proactive workflow monitoring.

  • Accelerate innovation: Deploy serverless architectures (Azure/Google Cloud Functions) to automate, scale, and extend analytic and data processing capabilities.

  • Operationalize data science: Collaborate with data science teams to productionize ML solutions (Vertex AI or similar), synthesizing outputs directly into business reporting.

  • Implement data governance at scale: Steward Atacama-powered frameworks for profiling, quality, lineage, and master data management.

Stakeholder Enablement & Cultural Change

  • Innovate in business partnering: Act as a strategic analytics thought partner—frame business problems with data, run collaborative solutioning, and deliver compelling insight narratives to senior leaders.

  • Champion data democratization: Curate SharePoint knowledge hubs, document data dictionaries, and advocate self-service analytics adoption.

  • Define analytics impact: Establish and track clear SLAs, KPIs, and ROI for advanced analytics projects, ensuring transparent value delivery.

  • Lead change: Foster a high-performance, learning-focused team culture—encouraging experimentation, continuous upskilling, and a passion for analytics excellence.

About you

  • Proven leader, able to scale high-calibre analytics/BI/data engineering teams and deliver global, commercial analytics impact.

  • Deep technical experience: designing modular analytics with dbt/bigQuery/Tableau; architecting multi-layered data models; optimizing and automating robust dataflows.

  • Experienced in advanced analytics—AI/ML workflow integration (Vertex AI, SageMaker, DataRobot, etc.); predictive modeling; translating technical outputs into practical business insight.

  • Hands-on with modern data engineering stack (i.e. Fivetran); designing best-in-class data governance, quality, and master data management.

  • Adept with process automation and integration (Power Automate, cloud functions); proven in data storytelling and visually engaging executive reporting (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

  • Strong business acumen—skilled at framing challenges, advocating for analytics, and tailoring findings for non-technical and C-suite audiences.

  • Passionate about continuous innovation, learning, and empowering those around you.
