Java Developer with German

Job location: hybrid Poland, preferably Warsaw or Wroclaw

You will join a delivery organization providing Applications Services for a major DXC client operating in the UK energy market. As a part of a Development team, you will be delivering backlog of enhancements and bug fixes to production, reliably utilizing a CI/CD pipeline of application products. You will be primarily dealing with Plan, Build and Test aspects of DevOps cycle.

You will bring your passion, skills, creativity and positive energy to deliver the release pipeline. While doing so, you will also assist the Operations functions in their job to assure a reliable and uninterrupted flow of product enhancements within our client’s IT system. You will be a part of continual improvement, automation and optimization culture that is our foundation of customer value creation.

Primary scope of responsibilities will include:

• Delivering (develop, test) feature enhancements to the in-scope application products

• Participating in daily scrum meetings

• Extending assistance and support for the Operations team as needed; typically, when dealing with the most complex defects related to the applications code or during/after new major enhancements are released.

• Leveraging DevOps toolset and CI/CD environments to further optimize and scale the deployment process

• Providing input into Change Management

• Ensuring software and coding standards are maintained

• Understanding security policies and implementing solutions that satisfy the security requirements

• Collaboration with other teams in DXC as well as client in order to understand requirements, provide implemented changes overviews

Required Skills:

Primary:

• Knowledge and experience in the following programing languages and frameworks: Java, Javascript, Spring, AngularJS, Python

• Knowledge of SQL

• Working knowledge of digital delivery processes and Agile methodologies, ability to work in an Agile Team

• A pragmatic and enthusiastic attitude to work

• Good English and German in writing and speaking

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of AWS cloud (practice with the following AWS components is welcome: Lambdas, microservices, Cloud Formation templates, console)

• Knowledge of React JS Library

• Knowledge in the following integration platforms and frameworks: Red Hat Fuse, Red Hat

• Knowledge in the following DBA: Postgres, Oracle, Mongo DB

• Knowledge of Docker container hosting including Kubernetes and RedShift
