About this role

Family Medicine of Kernodle Clinic in Elon and Mebane, NC, has openings at our growing community-based practice. Join five physicians and four advance practice providers of Kernodle Family Medicine at our Elon practice this summer. Another position will open this fall at our clinic in nearby Mebane when new building construction is completed.


Practice highlights:



  • See 15-18 patients per day on a 4-day work schedule

  • Dedicated nurse or medical assistant with each physician, two rooms per provider

  • Abridge AI Scribe available reduces time spent charting

  • On-site labs at both clinics with radiology at the Mebane clinic

  • Light call shared with entire team, 1:9 with after-hours answering service


These roles are ideal for a patient-centered and community focused family medicine physician. Kernodle Clinic is Duke Health’s largest community-based multi-specialty practice with 55 physicians and 40 APPs in 15 medical and surgical specialties practicing at clinics in Burlington, Mebane, and Elon, NC. Kernodle Clinic physicians have clinical faculty appointments with Duke University as members of Duke Health.


Elon and Mebane are within the Burlington area of Alamance County, NC. Elon is home to Elon University, named one of the 2024 best-run colleges in The Princeton Review college guide. Kernodle Clinic physicians see Elon students in clinic a mile from campus. The Mebane clinic is a dozen miles away in a town filled with historical charm and a dense suburban feel.
