Job Summary
Responsible for performing specialized structuring and financial analysis required to price, structure, and evaluate wholesale energy sales opportunities to generate incremental EBIT for regulated utility operations. Evaluation of wholesale energy sales includes quantifying company risk exposure and providing recommendations to maximize shareholder value and company earnings. Responsible for performing the internal and external business case analysis for the development of regulated self build generation and acquisition of purchase power, existing generation assets, and renewable generating resources. Provide economic and analysis support for regulated Integrated Resource Planning activities.
Responsibilities
Perform the analysis, structuring, and strategic assessment of customer wholesale energy sales opportunities to provide incremental EBIT for regulated operations. Manage/develop existing wholesale customer rate projections, load forecasting, and wholesale origination book for strategic and operational company requirements.
Perform the analysis and structuring of wholesale purchases via Request For Proposals (RFP) and other corporate activities to procure purchase power contracts and generation acquisitions to serve retail and wholesale load obligations
Perform the analysis and structuring of renewable generation procurement including purchase power, self build, and project acquisitions to meet renewable portfolio standards, qualifying facilities , and corporate strategic initiatives.
Support Integrated Resource Planning activities including self build generation economic analysis, revenue requirements development, and wholesale and renewable activity modeling
