Occupational Summary


Perform a variety of complex and independent activities involved in planning, organizing and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project at Duke University.

  • Create and update certification evaluation forms.
  • Serve as Lead to develop image reading PowerPoint presentations for Readers and study sponsors for training purposes.
  • Assign certifications to in-house readers. Maintain certification schedule; allocate resources based on workload; manage workflow for staff time away schedule, work with REDIARC with certifications, submission instructions, and to streamline process.
  • Work with Senior Readers to ensure duties are covered for the DRC, not limited to certification processes of OCTA and FAF to facilitate more efficiency of Senior Reader, prepare and distribute grading instructions for e-sign.
  • Certify study site technicians and photographers. Perform study site technician and photographer evaluations and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Complete Grading Certification Approval Forms.

  • Grade images according to study-specific grading instructions
  • Perform dual-reader image grading
  • Single-reader grading may be performed if approved by the Director of Grading of DRC Director
  • Provide feedback to the Director of Grading, Senior Readers, Project Manager and study sites regarding the quality of images submitted
  • Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in the field and recommend modifications to existing systems as necessary to improve quality and efficiency
  • Assist Duke Reading Center staff as necessary to meet the needs of the various studies
  • Attend Duke Reading Center study specific, group, and grading instructions training meetings

 

Anticipated Pay Range:

 

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $51,448.00 to USD $77,945.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
