About this role

JOB DESCRIPTION: Duck Creek Technologies LLC seeks a Lead Application Architect (operating at a Sr. Manager Level) based out of our U.S. headquarters in Boston, MA; however, this is a Flexible First (telecommuting/work-from-home) position whereby the individual may reside anywhere within the U.S. Note, this position requires up to 25% national/domestic travel. The Lead Application Architect serves as a technical expert and escalation point regarding the application, fielding technical questions and concerns. S/he leads a team to successfully deliver an application suited to the customer’s business and performance goals.  Essential duties include:

  • Work with Director of Application Architecture to solve complex and unique architectural and data issues that have a company-wide impact.
  • Define the applications required to operationalize business imperatives, including analyzing how the components of each application relate to each other.
  • Works across the Architecture teams to ensure the application components align with the application architecture and meet application performance goals.
  • Identify and address application and data issues that impact application integrity.
  • Identify cross-capability and cross-release issues that impact the business architecture integrity.
  • Perform Design / Code Reviews.
  • Participate in Conformance Reviews.
  • Increase buyer confidence by providing key inputs during the opportunity phase.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The position of Lead Application Architect requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science, IT, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related computer/engineering field. The position requires 12 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, as an Application Architect, or in a related computer/IT position. Additionally, the position requires the following number of years of professional experience with each of the following:

1) 12 years: Implementing software applications and/or conducting architecting activities.

2) 10 years: Implementing P&C Insurance software applications.

3) 8 years: Conducting systems integration (Policy, Billing, Claims, and Third-party Systems).

4) 8 years: Serving in a customer-facing role within the P&C Insurance software environment.

5) 6 years: Conducting requirements gathering and stakeholder agreement meetings.

6) 6 years: Joint Application Design (JAD) session, prototyping, and Conference Room Pilot (CRP).

7) 6 years: Business process design concepts and principles.

8) 6 years: Using HTML, ASP, XML, SQL.

SALARY: From $146,806 to $161,190 per year (Standard Company Benefits Apply)
