Role Purpose

As the Reporting, Data Science, AI representative in the Manufacturing platform, you will lead initiatives that optimise operational performance, enhance resilience, and drive intelligent decision-making across the value chain. Your focus will include developing advanced  models, predictive maintenance algorithms, and behavioural analytics to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and anticipate disruptions.

You will be responsible for designing and refining analytics and advance analytics components in manufacturing operations. Collaborating closely with stakeholders from all business units, you will identify opportunities for AI-driven insights, build predictive and prescriptive models, and implement solutions that improve agility, service levels, and cost efficiency.

In parallel, you will develop intelligent tools that empower  teams—delivering timely alerts, personalised recommendations, and actionable insights that accelerate decision-making and improve daily execution. You will ensure best practices in data modelling are followed, promote consistency and scalability across platforms, and work closely with data engineering to deploy robust, business-ready solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing workflows. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models for  manufacturing applications, such as , production scheduling, and predictive maintenance.
  • Oversee data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure high-quality inputs for models that drive operational efficiency and resilience.
  • Implement orchestration frameworks and pipelines (e.g., Kedro) to automate and streamline workflows for simulation, optimisation, and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models in microservice-based architectures using FastAPI or similar frameworks, ensuring scalability and integration with manufacturing execution.
  • Conduct linear and non-linear optimisation, scenario simulation, and advanced analytics to support strategic and tactical decision-making in production.
  • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, translating complex data science outputs into actionable recommendations for manufacturing leaders.
  • Lead a team of data scientists in the manufacturing domain, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and technical growth.

You bring:

  • Relevant Experience: 7+ years in Data Scieence with a proven track record of delivering AI/ML.\
  • Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and microservice-based AI/ML deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks such as Kedro or similar pipeline tools.
  • Proven experience in data cleaning, feature engineering, and advanced analytics.
  • Background in linear optimization and predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in the consumer insights and sales pipelines, or related domains.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills 

 

Working Model

This is a hybrid role with a minimum 60% in‑office presence at our Barcelona site to collaborate closely with platform stakeholders and squads.
