About this role
Responsibilities
To lead/ support the SD workstream in the pursuit of new business/ renewal of existing
• Provision of solutions/ analytical support for implementation/ re-engineering needs for key/ strategic projects as assigned
• To establish optimal costing/ commercialisation for New/ Existing business
• Engage and work closely with operations team on implementation of assigned projects
• Engage and work closely with BD and sector team on proposing solution design needs
• Championed assigned practise/ solution subject matter expertise- build depths via research and application, team development & training, engagement on relevant projects
• Outline solutions and commercial proposals in appropriate formats for presentation to internal / customers. Participate in customer presentations where required
• Develop and maintain good and effective communication across the business
• Actively seek to understand and apply innovation be it facility, fleet, technology or safety to solutions
▪ Works proactively with the customer to identify potential commercial / service improvement opportunities
▪ Interacts with customer senior management to uncover needs & opportunities.
▪ Develops and delivers innovative solutions and services that create value for customers and that help meet DSC's growth targets
▪ Actively collaborates with colleagues to develop new services / solutions that improve the customer experience
▪ Anticipates potential risks and proactively implements contingency plans with the support of customers
▪ Proactively reviews and improves internal processes that do not meet the customer’s needs
▪ Actively collaborates with colleagues to gain agreement and resources to meet customer needs
Requirements
• 4 to 6 years relevant experience in solution design or relevant role (analyst or improvement)
• Warehouse, transport and supply chain knowledge.
• Exposure to modeling of complex warehousing or domestic transport network, logistics / transport operations, etc
• Knowledge of divisional products and capabilities
• Understanding of SD tools, techniques and procedures
