Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
As the Stakeholder and Communications Advisor, you will support stakeholder engagement and communication activities to help minimise disruption to customers and deliver a positive community experience.
This role involves regular face-to-face engagement within the community, responding to public enquiries, and communicating with businesses, ratepayers, and residents about road maintenance and minor construction activities. You will prepare and distribute communication materials such as works notification letters, support internal events, and provide administrative assistance as required.
You will work closely with internal teams across planning, delivery, and support functions to ensure communications are timely, coordinated, and aligned with project delivery. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to plan proactively, learn from challenges, and drive continuous improvement to achieve efficient, high-quality outcomes.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent opportunity working across Monday- Friday from our Penrose office in Auckland.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking key communications activities to meet contractual requirements.
Minimising disruption caused by delivery through public communications and liaison with customers to achieve a positive customer experience.
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders throughout the contract period through the implementation of communication plans - Achieving a high level of customer, stakeholder and client satisfaction.
Provide customer and stakeholder insights throughout planning, delivery and close-off stages.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
A proven track record providing exceptional customer service
Skills in problem solving, use of initiative, conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
Strong computer literacy, experience using MS packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and record keeping experience
A full and current drivers licence
2 – 3 years’ experience in events, marketing or communications and engagement (preferred)
