The Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Water area of the business within Energy and Utilities based in our Brisbane office. This role reports directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager and is responsible for the technical, financial, contractual, resource, safety and quality management of allocated LV projects.
The role also includes mentoring and management of junior LV & Control Systems Engineers to assist in project and staff development goals.
What we are looking for
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- Extensive experience with LV System Design (calculations, construction design, schematics)
- Experience in LV Power Distribution Protection Studies and Panel Design
- Extensive experience in electrical design, fault finding and commissioning of industrial automation plants
- Moderate experience in control systems design, programming and commissioning Extensive experience with Industrial Control and Automation products (SCADA, PLC, VSDs)
- Project Management of Control System or LV Projects
- Experience with Safety in Design and Risk Assessment Processes (HAZOP, CHAZOP, CHAIR, HIDRA, RAMBO, FMECA, etc)
- Demonstrated capability to work safely in an industrial electrical environment
- Operates well in a team environment, take the lead when required and mentor junior engineers
