The Opportunity

Downer’s Energy & Utilities team has a permanent full‑time opportunity for a Trade Qualified Boilermaker to support major works at BlueScope Steel in Port Kembla, including the high‑profile Number 6 Blast Furnace Project as well as ongoing BAU maintenance.

This is a great chance to secure stable local work, be part of a tight‑knit team, and contribute to projects that keep industry moving across the Illawarra.

What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from people who:

  • Are Trade Qualified Boilermakers
  • Have experience in heavy industrial or power station environments
  • Are confident using power and hand tools safely
  • Work well in a team, communicate clearly, and put safety first
  • Hold full Australian working rights
  • Hold a White Card (mandatory)
  • Hold an EWP ticket (desirable)
  • Are willing to complete a pre‑employment medical
