We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Auckland. In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated crew who provide operational support on our Asphalt Contracts. You will be responsible for ensuring that asphalt plants are presented, serviced, maintained and operated in a professional, safe and efficient manner that complies with all relevant legislation, regulation and policy and achieves agreed productivity and quality targets

This is a full-time, permanent position that will require overtime or weekend shifts occasionally.

We'd value the following skills and experience; however full training will be provided for the right candidate:

• Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence essential, WTR is beneficial 

• Experience or exposure to civil plant operations 

• Mechanical experience will be beneficial

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will work with an extensive range of Downer and contracting crew members

• Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety

• Experienced and able to learn computer systems
