Team Lead - Student Support Services -Language and Cultural Engagement

    

Job Description:

Responsible for leading and facilitating assigned personalized learning team, particularly professional development opportunities for the assigned team. Responsible for screening and interviewing of highly qualified staff. Develops and promotes positive community relations among various district and community clientele.


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds

Must be able and willing to obtain other certifications required for the position

Work is performed in a general office setting. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate

    

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

    

Responsibilities:

Model best practices for English Learners in a variety of coaching settings

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Identify team needs and building supports related to specific area of expertise.

Support and provide professional development for teachers regarding ELD programming

Implement coaching and mentoring conversations in a variety of educational settings. Coach and mentor classroom, content, and ELD teachers.

Assist with identifying and planning for needs/resources, particularly through the lens of professional development and family outreach

May be required to travel.

Collaborate with personalized learning team to identify system needs to meet the unique needs of all learners

Facilitate and coordinate multidisciplinary team approaches and problem solving to meet the unique needs of English Learners

Identify and coordinate specific professional development needs of individual team members, building teams, and/or district

    

Certifications:

Teaching License w/ CLD Endorsement - Colorado Department of Education

    

Education:

Bachelor's Degree: Education (Required), Master's Degree

Full Salary Range:

$56,366.00 USD - $119,121.00 USD Annual

   

Position Salary Schedule Eligibility:

Hard to Hire

   

Licensed position salaries are set based on one of three salary schedules; General, Hard to Hire, and Specialist/Extremely Hard to Hire. DCSD will award up to 7 years of previous licensed teaching experience at the time of hire. Click HERE to view the current DCSD Licensed Salary Schedules.

  • All salary amounts listed on the schedules are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
