About this role

DoorLoop is a high-growth technology (PropTech) company with offices in the US (Miami) and Israel (Tel Aviv). We help property managers and owners make more money, get organized, and grow with easy-to-use, secure, and reliable, all-in-one property management software.

DoorLoop prides itself on being People First. We are a Certified Great Place to Work, are Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers in 2024 & 2025, and are proud to have our team rate us a 4.9/5 on Glassdoor.

Mission

DoorLoop is looking for a Infrastructure Automation Engineer to build and own the infrastructure that powers our quality ecosystem. In this role, your mission is to transform our automation into a high-trust, zero-noise engine by bridging the gap between testing and systems engineering.

You will not just "write tests" you will architect the Kubernetes-based environments and CI/CD pipelines that run them, ensuring every failure is actionable and deeply understood. You will take ownership of the "Signal-to-Noise" ratio, diving into logs, metrics, and networking to differentiate between application bugs and infrastructure flakiness. By building robust observability and scalable execution platforms, you will empower the entire engineering organization to ship code with speed and absolute confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Root Cause Analysis & Investigation: Lead the technical investigation of all automation failures to distinguish between application regressions, environmental flakiness, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
  • System Reliability & Troubleshooting: Diagnose low-level system failures including networking latency, service-to-service communication gaps, and DNS/connectivity issues within distributed environments.
  • Infrastructure Observability: Leverage logging, metrics, and tracing platforms to monitor the health of test environments and provide developers with actionable data on system instability.
  • Ephemeral Environment Management: Architect and maintain scalable, production-parallel test environments in Kubernetes, ensuring resource isolation and stability for high-concurrency execution.
  • CI/CD Platform Engineering: Design and optimize distributed pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins) to minimize the "Time-to-Feedback" loop while maintaining high execution reliability.
  • Internal Tooling & Frameworks: Develop the core TypeScript-based automation infrastructure, focusing on modularity, request-level interception, and tools that simplify complex debugging for the entire engineering org.

Requirements

  • Engineering Background: 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure automation engineer role with a focus on deep-dive system troubleshooting and infrastructure reliability.
  • Observability Mastery: Proficient in using distributed logging and monitoring stacks (e.g., Grafana, ELK, Coralogix) to correlate system events and pinpoint failure origins.
  • Networking & Linux Internals: Strong understanding of the OSI model and Linux systems to diagnose connectivity and performance issues in a containerized world.
  • Container Orchestration: Practical experience managing workloads in Kubernetes and Docker, specifically around pod health, networking, and resource constraints.
  • Scalable CI/CD: Proven expertise in building and maintaining non-linear, high-scale pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced TypeScript/Node.js/Python skills, with a focus on building internal tools, mock services, or CLI utilities.
  • Protocol Expertise: Deep understanding of modern communication protocols including HTTP/S, WebSockets, and gRPC.
  • Framework Architecture: Expert-level knowledge of modern automation engines (e.g., Playwright or Cypress), focusing on their internal mechanics and request-level manipulation.
  • The "Detective" Approach: You are driven by the need to find the "Why" behind every failure and aren't satisfied with simply "rerunning the build."
  • Autonomous & Proactive: Ability to navigate complex distributed systems and resolve environmental blockers independently.
  • Efficiency Advocate: Obsessed with reducing noise and flakiness to ensure the automation suite remains a trusted source of truth.
