Job Description:
The paving and pavement maintenance crew member will perform tasks involving physical labor at parking lots and roadways by operating one or several types of maintenance equipment and/or hand tools. This position may also require routine repair and maintenance of equipment in addition to other duties.Pavement Maintenance Crew LaborerResponsibilities include:
- Use of a push blower and/or wire broom to clean surface prior to application of sealcoat material
- Application of sealcoat material utilizing a long handed squeegee and/or spray wand
- Manual labor including shoveling, brooming and raking
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification/Requirement:
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments
- Be willing to work weekends when necessary
- Be able to work overtime when required
- Must have strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Communication skills: ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
