Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.

The Banking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of (8) Banking Associates and (1) Banking Specialist who perform daily deposit reconciliations, monthly reconciliations, and research exception items relating to the Company’s store depository bank accounts. The individual will also lead special projects and work collaboratively on projects with the Treasury Operations Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities  -  Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance

• Supervise (8) Banking Associates and (1) Banking Specialist
• Distribute workload to team associates
• Reconcile daily bank deposits to store’s POS file
• Assist team associates with complex reconciliation issues
• Monitor associate productivity and metrics
• Oversee month-end closing process and month-end reconciliations
• Partner with Sales Audit and Asset Protection to manage outstanding issues and bank investigations
• Perform miscellaneous duties and special assignments as needed

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.

• College degree or equivalent relevant experience in banking or treasury operations
• 3-5 years financial or accounting experience
• Strong organization and time management skills 
• Ability to manage people and lead them to achieve department goals through leadership
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word experience

Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.

• Familiarity with treasury management systems or bank proprietary systems
• Previous banking or treasury experience
