JOB SUMMARY

                                 

The Director of Enterprise Technology & Analytics provides strategic leadership for the company’s enterprise systems, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and optimized to support the business. This role is responsible for aligning technology and analytics initiatives with organizational priorities, overseeing day-to-day technology operations, and protecting the company’s digital assets. Working in close partnership with the Executive Director of Technology, the Director helps define long-term technology strategy, sets a clear vision for how data and systems enable better decisions, and leads innovation efforts that improve operational performance and drive sustainable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the Executive Director of Technology to implement the company’s technology vision and strategy.
  • Provide leadership for digital evolution initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency, scalability, and competitiveness.
  • Contributes to the development and enforcement of technology policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment.
  • Ensure application architecture and initiatives support the company’s strategic goals by enabling business capabilities through secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Operational teams to successfully advance DDE and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year enterprise architecture roadmap that includes system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations to drive growth and innovation.
  • Establish and maintain standards for software, hardware, and platforms to ensure security, interoperability, and organizational alignment.
  • Design and oversee the integration of critical systems—including financial platforms, cloud services, and core business applications—to enable seamless data flow and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead the development and management of APIs and middleware solutions that promote efficient and secure communication between systems.
  • Guide modernization efforts by developing strategies to update or replace legacy systems while minimizing business disruption.
  • Direct teams in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical challenges to maintain reliability and performance.
  • Anticipate business needs, analyze challenges, and propose innovative technology solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Maintain consistent presence at designated worksites or assigned locations to support leadership and operational effectiveness.
  • Responsible for fostering a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with all safety policies and actively promoting the safety and well-being of team members.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities aligned with the scope of the role, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology required
  • At least 8 years of experience managing a team of people in a leadership role required
  • Experience in IT strategy, enterprise systems, software development & data management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven track record of leading teams, managing budgets, and overseeing projects.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and resilient ecosystems.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and hybrid IT environments.
  • Experience with virtualization, containerization, and data center management.
  • Familiarity with business process mapping and how IT systems support operational workflows in construction, manufacturing, and logistics industries.
  • In-depth understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Strong hands-on skills in system architecture, software development methodologies, and integration techniques as well as advanced knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with best practices for disaster recovery, incident response, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of modern technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, data analytics, and automation solutions
  • Skilled at creating detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, process workflows, and policy guides
  • Ability to provide strong leadership and guidance to employees, both direct and indirect reports, to motivate and maintain relationships
  • Ability to collaborate, as well as to work independently, balancing competing priorities with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to drive business decisions on complex issues with clarity and credibility to a cross functional audience of varied experience and seniority
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence employees effectively
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, use sound judgement, and make decisions during high-stress events and with limited information
  • Ability to think critically when resolving issues of varying complexity
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet specific deadlines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift, push, or pull objects of various dimensions up to 50 lbs. of weight frequently
  • Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing/sitting/walking
  • Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and see
