Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and support daily flight operations including packing, food production coordination, transportation, logistics, and dispatch to ensure on-time and accurate flight delivery.
  • Monitor operational timelines and workflows to prevent delays and ensure strict adherence to airline specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, motivation, training, and support to the flight coordination team while ensuring compliance with airline, airport, port authority, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate operational updates clearly and effectively across departments to maintain smooth workflows and alignment on priorities, deadlines, and service expectations.
  • Oversee compliance documentation including CCP forms, delivery notes, uniform standards, and food safety/hygiene requirements; promptly escalate concerns to management and Food Safety teams.
  • Manage logistics activities such as linen deliveries, shipments, truck loading and offloading, and deadhead movements.
  • Verify meal counts, special meal requests, and equipment accuracy to ensure correct packing and delivery to airline crews.
  • Ensure trolleys, products, and equipment consistently meet DO & CO’s premium quality standards.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and oversee packing of additional products or equipment as required.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback to management on performance trends, operational risks, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as backup coverage for Flight Coordinators during absences and support new airline start-ups.
  • Participate in the interview and onboarding process for new hires, including training and cross-training to ensure timely completion of mandatory requirements.
  • Partner closely with the Account Manager on shipment coordination, compliance activities, and operational planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs and operational excellence. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of related operational or coordination experience.
  • At least 2 years of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, aviation, catering, logistics, or hospitality environments preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience guiding and supporting teams in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work approximately 50% of the day in a cooler or refrigerated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working closely with logistics, dispatch, and production teams.
  • Ability to evaluate performance, coach employees, and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Working knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and required documentation.
  • All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
