Responsibilities:
Oversee all dish room operations, ensuring timely and proper cleaning of equipment (trolleys, trays, silverware, etc.).
Monitor water temperature and chemical levels; ensure documentation meets safety and sanitation standards.
Verify that clean equipment is stacked, sorted, and stored according to company guidelines.
Maintain strict adherence to international waste protocols, FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards.
Coordinate with Hygiene, Quality Assurance, and Safety teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer audit standards.
Ensure all cleaning chemicals are properly labeled, stored, and documented (SDS, titration reports, etc.).
Lead, train, and schedule Dishwashers, Leads, and support staff across shifts.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and corrective action as needed.
Facilitate new hire training, retraining, and ongoing sanitation education.
Analyze sanitation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Support internal and external audits and inspections.
Maintain and update SOPs and SSOPs for dish room processes.
Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and accountability.
Investigate sanitation-related incidents and prepare necessary reports.
Partner with procurement to manage inventory and ordering of sanitation supplies and chemicals.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a dishwashing or sanitation leadership role within a food manufacturing or high-volume catering environment.
Bachelor's Degree preferred (Food Science, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field).
Food Safety Certification required (state-specific); HACCP certification strongly preferred.
PCQI certification is a plus.
Proven experience managing sanitation teams and working with food-grade cleaning chemicals.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO, SQF, and FDA food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to read and interpret sanitation data, logs, and reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with sanitation management software a plus.
Ability to manage workload efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
What We Offer:
Salary pay range: $80,000 – $85,000
