This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: The Madison Club, set outside of La Quinta, CA.

The Madison Club is seeking a Nail Technician to join the Wellness Department.

The Nail Technician is responsible for providing exceptional, luxury nail care services to members in a refined, private club environment. This role requires the highest standards of professionalism, artistry, and hospitality to deliver manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, and related treatments with precision and attention to detail. The Nail Technician ensures all services are performed in accordance with established health, safety, and sanitation standards, while maintaining a warm, welcoming, and personalized experience for every client.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

• Deliver high-quality manicures, pedicures, and specialty nail services tailored to each guest’s preferences.

• Provide personalized recommendations for treatments, products, and after-care.

• Anticipate member needs and deliver discreet, world-class service in line with club standards

Technical Expertise

• Perform nail care services including shaping, cuticle care, massage, polish application, nail art, and enhancements.

• Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and luxury spa offerings.

• Maintain impeccable attention to detail and consistency in all services.

Health, Safety & Sanitation

• Follow all state board regulations and club sanitation policies.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation at all times.

• Properly sterilize tools and equipment before and after every service.

Collaboration & Professionalism

• Work closely with Spa & Wellness colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Support the overall spa environment by assisting with scheduling, set-up, and guest flow as needed.

• Model professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and communication at all times.

Retail & Member Engagement

• Educate members on at-home care and recommend high-end nail care products.

• Contribute to retail sales goals by promoting club-approved products and services.

• Build strong, long-lasting relationships with members through consistent, exceptional service.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current California State Board license as a Nail Technician/Cosmetologist (required).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury spa, resort, or high-end salon setting preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of nail care techniques, trends, and product lines.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on discretion and member service.

• Professional appearance and commitment to upholding the standards of a luxury private club.

• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
