Senior Backend Developer - Golang

We’re looking for talented Senior Back-end developer for Fortunejack team to help us reach the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Go (Golang) and Postgresql;
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable GoLang code;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
• Build testable solutions;
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues;
• Make strategic technical decisions related to new products and functionalities;
• Help maintain code quality;
• Optimise the application for maximum speed and scalability;
• Take smart risks and champion new ideas;
  
• Actively participate in code reviews to maintain development standards;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and product architecture.

Requirements:

• You must have 3+ years of web development experience;
• Experience working with RESTful web services and API development;
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code;
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL);
  
• Be excited about deploying to production and collaborating daily with your team and other groups while working via a distributed model;
• Be comfortable with iterative and incremental development;
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them;
• Be open to receiving feedback;
  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes;
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git;
• Understanding of web security mechanisms and best practices.
