We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technical ICT Team at the Digicel Khalsa office, reporting to the Product Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

 

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is a key role responsible for providing comprehensive technical support and strategic direction for our cloud service offerings, including Microsoft 365, public and private hosting, cloud telephony, CCTV systems, IPSEC, and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS). The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a robust technical background in cloud architecture and services, along with experience in customer support and a thorough understanding of various cloud technologies.

 

Core responsibilities:  

Product Management and Development

  • Define product vision and roadmap for network and cloud solutions.
  • Lead design, implementation, and enhancement of products such as SD‑WAN, VPNs, DIA, IPSEC, CCTV, Backup & Recovery, and multi‑cloud networking.
  • Drive new product introductions, manage existing offerings, and ensure strong market fit.
  • Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and improve customer experience.
  • Oversee product lifecycle, testing, documentation, and technical marketing materials.

Market Analysis and Strategy

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Support strategic planning and identify opportunities for new or improved services.
  • Analyze competitive products to refine and strengthen the portfolio.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Manage product development deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate beta testing, risk management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Support Pre‑Sales and Solutions teams with technical input and deployment guidance

Installation, Configuration, and Support

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend systems and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure uptime, performance, and SLA compliance across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
  • Install and configure servers, routers, switches, SD‑WAN, VPN gateways, and cloud networking.
  • Troubleshoot network, routing, backup, and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor systems and coordinate with vendors and carriers for provisioning and upgrades.

Training and Documentation

  • Deliver product training and technical guidance to internal teams and customers.
  • Maintain clear documentation, user guides, and product records.
  • Manage hardware and software inventory.

Communication and Relationship Building

  • Represent the company at industry events and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide clear communication during incidents, upgrades, and system changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback, benchmarking, and innovation.

Management Support

  • Produce reports on network systems and performance.
  • Support regional markets with technical expertise.
  • Contribute ideas for new products and enhancements to expand revenue.
  • Act as a first point of contact for technical assistance and remote troubleshooting.

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred with any relevant specialized certifications; Microsoft Certified, Azure, M365, AWS, VMware/VEEAM, CCNA, Cisco BroadWorks, ACFE PMP, TOTS with strong understanding of the supported functions, business, and products, as well as the related operations and business case modelling.
  • 5+ years of work experience in risk and compliance preferred in an IT or Telecommunication related industry and at least 5 years of work experience in IP/Networking.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, Power BI or other analytical tools will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Network/IP design, requirements, and functions with Expert-level technical proficiency in system administration
