What You Will Do  

  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and supervision of janitorial staff engaged in cleaning and maintaining site facilities. 
  • Plan, assign, and direct work; inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards. 
  • Appraise performance, provide coaching and feedback, and address performance or conduct issues in accordance with Didlake policy. 
  • Monitor staffing levels, attendance, tardiness, and timecard accuracy. 
  • Review leave requests and make recommendations to the Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager. 
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment by submitting requisitions and repair requests and issuing equipment to staff. 
  • Ensure safe operation and proper use of cleaning products, tools, and equipment. 
  • Provide leadership that promotes teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and strong work ethic. 
  • Supervise and support floor care operations, including hard surface and resilient flooring, and oversee floor equipment operators. 
  • Interact with Rehabilitation staff to ensure individual program plans are followed and appropriate accommodations are provided. 
  • Assist with interviewing candidates and make hiring recommendations. 
  • Complete required paperwork, documentation, and all Didlake-mandated training. 
  • Ensure staff conduct and decorum align with Didlake policies and procedures. 
Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience required. 
  • Specialized knowledge of floor care operations in commercial and/or federal environments preferred. 

Skills & Abilities 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials and background checks per contract requirements. 
  • Valid and insurable driver’s license. 
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning products and equipment and their safe operation. 
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate information clearly to employees. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to train, support, and resolve personnel issues. 
  • Ability to project a positive, professional image at all times.
