Team Overview

At DiDi, we are building a cross-functional marketplace team to support the growth and long-term competitiveness of our Australia business. The team is responsible for driving core marketplace outcomes by aligning pricing strategy, market and user intelligence, product execution, and experience optimization across the end-to-end rider and driver journey.

Working closely with product, algorithm, transaction, and regional operations teams across Beijing and Melbourne, we focus on translating data and market insights into concrete product improvements and experience-level optimizations—from pricing logic and product features to POI scenarios, map experience, and governance-related policies.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, data, product, and experience, contributing to both problem discovery and solution execution in a fast-evolving international marketplace. You will have direct exposure to how marketplace strategy is designed, validated, and delivered through product and operational levers at scale.

Role Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence: Establish a systematic approach to collect and synthesize external insights, including competitive dynamics, regulatory signals and user scenarios. Conduct user surveys and interviews to identify pain points beyond pricing and incentives, translate findings into structured problem statements, and propose actionable operational or product solutions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze marketplace and user data to support market and product decisions, including user behavior, supply-demand dynamics and product performance. Build and maintain core metrics and dashboards, conduct ad-hoc deep dives, identify trends and anomalies, and generate data-backed insights to validate hypotheses derived from market and user research.
  • Product Operations: Collaborate closely with product, operations and marketing teams to support the execution of key initiatives, from insight generation to post-launch analysis, ensuring fast feedback loops and continuous improvement in a fast-changing market.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, with 1+ year of experience in ride-hailing, O2O, e-commerce, or other two-sided marketplace industries.
  • Proven capability in market intelligence, data analysis, pricing-related analysis, or structured business analysis.
  • Strong data analysis skills (SQL / Excel required; Python is a plus), with the ability to independently complete analysis and insight generation.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills, with curiosity, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic environment.
  • Good project coordination skills with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Fluent in English. Prior international or overseas market exposure is a plus.
