Job Description :
Who are we?
While the name Diageo may be unfamiliar to you, our brands have most likely been with you while you create unforgettable moments of connection and celebration. Imagine crafting the future some of the most well-loved spirits brands across the world, including Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Bundaberg Rum and building possibilities within growing brands such as Don Julio, Ciroc, Ello and Aviation Gin. By joining Diageo Australia, you will inspire an exceptional team around you, with offices and teams working from 8 locations across Australia, to build incredible performance and unleash your own potential.
What about the role?
In this hands-on role, you’ll work as part of a supportive team to help produce some of Australia’s most loved spirits. You’ll play a key role in running and maintaining our production equipment while keeping safety, quality and teamwork at the centre of everything you do.
You don’t need to know every machine on day one — we’ll train you. Over time, you’ll build your skills across different parts of the site and grow your capability in line with business needs. Our Day Shift runs from 6am - 2pm giving you flexibility and freedom to balance work and your home priorities throughout the week.
As a valued member of the Huntingwood team, you will:
Operate and maintain production equipment while creating a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues
Monitor product quality to ensure we consistently meet our high standards
Support the smooth running of production lines, including equipment checks and troubleshooting
Accurately complete production records and documentation
Follow best practice on every shift, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork
Develop your skills across a range of machines — from simpler operations through to more complex equipment
You’ll be supported with training, coaching and ongoing development so you can confidently build your technical skills over time.
What you'll bring
We encourage applications from women and people from non-traditional manufacturing backgrounds — we value attitude, capability and potential as much as experience.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience operating packaging or processing equipment or transferable hands-on experience from another industry
Some exposure to SAP or other digital systems (desirable, not essential)
A practical, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
Good situational awareness and an interest in how production processes work
A basic understanding of mechanical/electrical concepts or curiosity to develop this
A commitment to workplace health and safety
Confidence using computers and learning new systems
If you don’t meet every point — still apply. We’ll help you build the skills you need!
At Diageo, we create products that are part of life’s celebrations — and we want our people to feel celebrated too.
You’ll benefit from:
Competitive salary + annual bonus
Flexible leave entitlements
Product allowance
Industry-leading parental leave policy
Volunteering days and workplace giving programs
Access to mental health and wellbeing platforms
A culture that values safety, inclusion and growth
We are also committed to making our site welcoming and practical for everyone, including:
Gender-appropriate PPE
Gender-appropriate changing rooms and facilities
Supportive leadership and on-the-job training
Commitment to Inclusion & Diversity:
Diageo champions diversity as a catalyst for innovation. We actively promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTI communities, and other diverse groups. We ensure inclusivity through reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process.
