Meet the team:

The Sensor Design and Characterization group within the Research and Development (R&D) organization is dedicated to the design and development of cutting-edge sensor technologies, guiding them from initial concept through to commercialization. These innovations are essential to improving the accuracy, reliability, and robustness of CGM systems. Our multidisciplinary team brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment that drives creative problem-solving and breakthrough solutions.

Where you come in:

  • You will design and conduct benchtop and in-vivo experiments to evaluate existing and emerging CGM technologies at the component, sensor subassembly, and full system levels.

  • You will collaborate with management and project leaders to align on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

  • You will develop, standardize, and validate electrochemical bench test methods, including delivering test protocols and specifications, providing justification for engineering controls, and preparing comprehensive test reports.

  • You will coordinate R&D sensor builds, equipment procurement, and related assignments.

  • You will apply statistical techniques to analyze large datasets, assess system performance, and identify key parameters.

  • You will partner with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones efficiently, proactively addressing dependencies.

  • You will present findings through oral presentations and written reports to peers and management.

  • You will contribute to intellectual property development by drafting invention disclosures.

What makes you successful:

  • You have a B.S. in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • You have a technical background in electrochemistry or biosensors.

  • You have hands-on experience working in a wet laboratory environment.

  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking, test method development, and problem-solving skills.

  • You have experience with software tools such as JMP, MATLAB, Python, or SolidWorks.

  • You possess a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.

  • You can effectively work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You have excellent scientific communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience.

Exempt Salary Details:  

The annual base salary range for this role is $68,200.00 to $113,600.00. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
