Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking an Office Administrator to join our 200+ person team in our Raleigh, NC office to perform a variety of advanced administrative functions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

 

  • Functions involve the supervision and/or daily coordination of administrative work which is tied to the executive, as well as professional and technical staff with appropriate and timely status updates.  
  • Prepare and format technical reports, memos, and specifications in coordination with professional and technical staff. Assist with other project-related administrative work.  
  • Greet and process visitors and direct them to the appropriate location in the office 
  • Sort and distribute mail, order supplies, and maintain office stock. 
  • Support corporate meetings hosted in the Raleigh office. 
  • Maintain overall office appearance to create a welcoming environment.  
  • Efficiently manage multiple office and administrative tasks concurrently. This includes anticipating potential needs and daily problem solving.  
  • Effectively and efficiently schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, and handle other office logistics. 
  • Manage catering orders and setup for meals. 
  • Oversee other office logistics (vehicles, copiers, etc) and work with external vendors to provide maintenance and oversight. 
  • Exercise discretion, initiative, judgment, and knowledge of company practices, policies and organization.  
  • Various other duties as assigned 

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • High school diploma is required, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional environment, preferably in the A/E/C industry.  
  • Experience providing direction to administrative staff. 
  • Must be proactive and take initiative. 
  • Must be a forward thinker and can anticipate and successfully accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat. 
  • Ability to become proficient in company-based computer software programs and processes. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills surrounding customer relations and supporting others are required. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • This position requires flexibility to help the team respond to our clients' needs.  
  • The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, a desire to learn and grow within the firm, and strong sense of professionalism.
