Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator with a focus in coordination of personnel deployment support for EPA task orders nationwide.  The logistics coordinator will perform a variety of administrative and purchasing functions in support of Disaster Recovery Services. The logistics coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating deployed staff during the response, including lodging, travel, administrative support space, temporary housing and amenities, such as trailers and hygiene trailers, if needed, food service security service, medical service, grounds maintenance, and storage of support supplies.  

 

*Please note, this is a deployment-based position. Remote work is not permitted for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase orders in Dewberry’s purchasing and requisition system. 
  • Manage lodging for deployed staff, such as hotels, travel trailers, shower and hygiene trailers, if needed by the project. 
  • Manages support services for deployed living arrangements, such as janitorial services, food services, security services, and other wrap around services in support of the deployed staff. 
  • Coordinates any medical services, grounds maintenance, or supply storage needed by deployed teams.  
  • Coordinating rental vehicles for deployed staff. 
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for deployed staff. 
  • Must be able to provide virtual response within 48 hours of notification. 
  • Other duties as required 

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, emergency management, logistics, or related.  
  • 3+ years of previous related work experience is required.  
  • Prior military or emergency services experience is a plus. 
  • Proven track record of dependability is required 
  • Proven ability to work independently in an emergency response environment is required. 
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously is required. 
  • Excellent MS Office Skills (Word, Excel & Access) are required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill are required.
