Description

Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) has an exciting opportunity to be a BCBA Contractor within Cecil County School District!  

 

This is an Independent Contractor role paying $72.50 - $78.50 per hour.

 

You will work with others who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:

  • School-based hours: Monday - Friday 8:15am - 3:45pm
  • Liability coverage
  • Evidenced Based treatment and care models within a clinically based environment focused on collaboration and treatment teams

 Duties include:

  • Providing support to elementary-aged students with intensive behaviors/emotional support needs.
  • Conducting FBAs, developing PBSPs, supervising RBTs, training staff to implement plans.
  • Collaboration with a team of BCBAs, behavioral health practitioners, and educators with a track record of providing high quality services and presenting at regional and national conferences.
  • Opportunities to work with school leadership to develop and implement school-wide systems for social and emotional learning.

About DESS:

 

DESS provides support to schools around early learning, academic interventions, safety practices, and the assessment and treatment of students with complex behaviors, cognitive challenges and communication needs. Devereux uses evidence-based practices with an emphasis on assisting school systems with special education populations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited, behaviorally-focused program in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • BCBA certification
  • Candidates who have completed all fieldwork supervision hours and are scheduled to take the BCBA exam are also encouraged to apply
  • Experience delivering direct behavior analytic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders or behavioral challenges
  • At least one year of experience consulting or working within a public school setting is preferred
  • Willingness to travel as part of the role.
