The Quality and Risk Specialist position, located at our Viera Campus in Viera, Florida, involves the daily operation of a multi-functional tasks. The individual will work directly with all program staff and management to ensure the quality and safety is provided to the individuals we serve and the staff that provide services. This position requires judgment and ability to function independently under the network policies and procedures with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities: Activities associated with the implementation of the overall Risk/Quality Management and Compliance program to include activities involving risk management, incident reporting, investigations, compliance data collection & analysis and coordination of internal and external monitoring. This position will act as liaison between Devereux and outside agencies, e.g., Department of Children and Families, AHCA and the local police.

 

 

Compensation:  $20.25 -23.09/hr based on education and relevant experience.

Location: This is a fulltime office-based position located at our Viera Campus in Viera, Florida. In addition, there will be travel to other Devereux sites approximately 1-2 times/month. Mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred

Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in behavioral health setting or child welfare required.
  • Proficient skills using computer software/programs required
  • Excellent communication skills

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to attend a 3-day orientation Monday and Wednesday from 9am-5pm.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen and TB Test.
