Description

Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K-12 school, food services, 24/7 on-site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services.

 

The Medical Care Coordinator works cooperatively with clinical, operations, medical, and administrative staff on the overall coordination of individual care in regard to their medical needs while in treatment. Job duties include: coordinating and transporting individuals to and from external medical appointments, communicating and documenting the medical needs for the individual back to the internal team, and working closely with Nursing and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care. The Medical Care Coordinator is a forward facing role, ensuring visitors feel welcome, their needs are met, and is responsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers. Other duties include answering phones, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages to the appropriate individuals in a timely fashion, providing coverage for other administrative roles as needed (program/department specific), and is supportive of people with diverse backgrounds, interacting with them in a way that ensures they feel safe and accepted.

 

Pay Range: $20/hr - $22/hr

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and Wednesday 10:30am - 7:00pm

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Three (3) years with High School Diploma; or no experience required with Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in mental health delivery system
  • Knowledge and background in assessment and treatment planning development
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing

OTHER:

  • Ability to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm (paid)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
