About the role

The unit Business Continuity Management (U) oversees and controls the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Framework of Clearstream Securities Services, which is deployed to mitigate unavailability risk for key resources in order to minimize the impact of potential operational disruptions. This role is ideal for students who enjoy working at the intersection of risk, process, and technology, and want hands-on experience in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support the launch and coordination of the quarterly Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and monthly BIA reviews; monitor completion rates and follow up on gaps.
  • Assist with the annual review cycle of Business Continuity Plans: maintain the master list, track versions and approvals.
  • Assist with the Business Continuity Management Tool development by driving enhancements (features, fixes, enhancements) with clear requirements, acceptance criteria, priority, and dependencies.
  • Help build lightweight AI prompts/workflows for data validation (e.g., detecting missing fields or inconsistencies) and documentation improvements.
  • Interact with other control functions like Risk Management, Outsourcing & Third-Party Risk Management and Information Security.
  • Contribute to Business Continuity Awareness.

 

Your profile

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with a recognized institution focusing on Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance/Risk, or a related field and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months.
  • Want to gain experience in the field of Business Continuity Management practices and protocols, including international BCM standards promoted by BCI/DR/ISO and relevant regulations (MaRisk, EMIR, BAIT, DORA, etc.)
  • Strong command of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) is a must.
  • Gathered first experience with AI for data validation and a keen interest to further develop skills in AI and its potential to transform business processes.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
