About this role

Your area of work:

An Agile Business Analyst needs to be business-oriented, eager to learn, empathetic, and flexible towards working in an Agile environment and should be innovative and goal-oriented. These attributes are a must needed to be successful.

As an Agile Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to identify and analyse business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements. You will also be responsible for supporting the agile development process by participating in sprint planning and review meetings, providing ongoing support to the development team, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the product meets the needs of the business.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a strong understanding of agile development methodologies. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Gather and analyse business requirements through interviews, workshops, and other methods
  • Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and other Agile artifacts to clearly define and prioritize requirements
  • Create process flows and other visualizations to help stakeholders understand and visualize business processes and requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize features and user stories
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other team members to ensure that requirements are understood and properly implemented
  • Participate in agile development meetings, including sprint planning and review meetings
  • Support the development team by answering questions and providing guidance on business requirements
  • Ensure that the product meets the needs of the business and aligns with the overall business strategy
  • Share similar mentality as existing team members toward customer satisfaction and success
  • Oversee, and have accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work
  • Provide high-quality analytical solutions for the key stakeholders

 

Your profile:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, computer science, or engineering
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar environment as a business analyst or in a related role
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Understanding of technical business area related to the projects taken
  • Expert in conceptual modelling; visualize possible solutions innovatively
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Familiarity with requirement techniques such as informal modelling, use cases, user stories. These are the primary techniques used by Agile teams for requirements gathering
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents / tools:
    • Process Flow Analysis
    • Product Architecture and Design Best Practices
    • Experience working with developers
    • Experience with Cloud Solutions and NoSQL databases
    • Basic competence in at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript)
    • Requirements Definition
    • Configuration Workbook
    • Data Models
    • Detailed Functional Design
  • Ability to critically question to help the team foresee the future problems
  • Ability to understand the Agile development process
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills in English
