About this role

As a defensive cybersecurity advisor, you’re part of the Cyber Threats Investigations and Hunting Department. Our mission is to defend Desjardins Group against cyber threats. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about cybersecurity, committed to staying current and active in the community. You serve as a cybersecurity investigation analyst whose main task is to investigate alerts flagged by our various security tools. In your role, you must work and communicate efficiently with other Security Operations Centre members and partner teams. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Investigate security events

  • Apply mitigation measures in response to security events

  • Document investigations in an operational security ticketing system

  • Help resolve security issues

  • Participate in incident response

  • Help improve and optimize security operations and make them more efficient

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Proficiency in security tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.)

  • Proficiency in cybersecurity concepts and information system security practices

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts in cloud computing environments

  • Knowledge of scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
