About this role

As a Control, Risk and Compliance Analyst, you help managers apply and carry out internal control, risk and compliance activities related to the distribution of savings/investment products offered in your network. More specifically, you assist with operational analysis, oversight and prevention. You analyze issues and situations. You support the professionals in your unit and help prepare opinions and implementation plans in accordance with your discipline's rules. You conduct preliminary analyses. You draw on your comprehensive knowledge of your line of business and your ability to manage complexity. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields.You assist clients and partners.More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Monitor the internal control system. Ensure that supervisory controls are completed, and be responsible for execution quality. Complete certain supervisory controls and reporting. 

  • Liaise with relevant Desjardins components.

  • Support the senior compliance officer in monitoring activities for the distribution of investment products and reporting, if applicable.

  • Manage activities related to operational risk, including risk and control self-assessment, the input of operational losses, the business continuity plan and information security.

  • Help managers identify and implement corrective measures.

  • Ensure that activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing legislation (PCMLTFA) are carried out.

  • Comply with policies, practices and standards, as well as legislation governing the distribution of financial products and services.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Available to work 5 days a week
