Senior Information Management Technology Specialist – NSW Trustee and Guardian

  • Ongoing full-time vacancy. 35 hours per week.
  • Location: This role is based in Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade: Level 7/8. Base salary $113,574 p.a. to $125,720 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Information and Technology team delivers secure, modern, and efficient digital services by maintaining robust technological infrastructure, developing and supporting critical business applications, and leading strategic technology initiatives aligned with the organisation’s objectives.   

 

About the role
The role of the Senior Information Management Technology Specialist is to manage and optimise the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and other information management technology applications to support NSW Trustee and Guardian (NSWTG) maintaining compliance with the State Records Act and improving the way business divisions manage and interact with data and information.  

 

This is an exciting opportunity that will see you:

  • Be responsible for the product lifecycle of all information management technology applications, including Open Text Content Manager
  • Manage and implement the product roadmap for all information management technology applications to deliver continuous improvement and value.
  • Provide information management subject matter expertise to the Information Technology teams to enable the collection of accurate and high-quality data.
  • Work with the Information Governance team to identify and provide technology solutions to NSWTG business requirements and challenges.
  • Support the Business Information team to resolve complex support tickets raised by NSWTG users for Open Text Content Manager.
  • Act as Project Manager to upgrade or implement new information management technology applications.
  • Be responsible for managing information management technology procurement requirements.
  • Develop relationships with external vendors and stakeholders, to identify opportunities to improve customer and client outcomes through integrations with information management technology applications.

About you
Application is encouraged if you demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience: 

  • A curious, analytical mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the lifecycle of information management technology applications, ideally including OpenText Content Manager (or similar EDRMS platforms).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and build trust with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.

Essential requirements  

  • Tertiary qualifications in product management or a related field, such as information management, business or IT, and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
