The E-Sports Assistant Coach at DPS supports the Head Coach in training student-athletes, organizing competitions, and fostering a positive and inclusive gaming environment. This role is crucial in helping students develop technical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while ensuring they maintain academic success.

What You'll Do:
- Assist the Head Coach in training and mentoring student-athletes in various E-Sports titles
- Support the development of practice plans, strategy sessions, and skill-building exercises
- Help organize and manage team participation in competitions, scrimmages, and events
- Reinforce positive gaming habits, sportsmanship, and online safety
- Assist in monitoring student academic progress and ensuring eligibility compliance
- Help maintain and manage E-Sports equipment, software, and gaming spaces
- Encourage student leadership, teamwork, and engagement in a structured E-Sports environment
- Support program outreach and promotion within the DPS community
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 or more years of experience in competitive gaming, coaching, or working with students in an educational or mentorship capacity
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
