This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations, personnel, and financial management of clinical research and other sponsored projects while performing clinical nursing responsibilities related to specific protocols. Daily operational oversight will involve regular monitoring of progress in relation to scope of work, negotiated budgets, delegation of responsibilities, and projects' progress from startup to completion. The role will involve clinical research responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: study start-up, regulatory monitoring, protocol adherence, staff supervision, patient/participant communication, client relations, resource allocation and prioritization, financial management, delegation of research activities, and patient safety reporting. The role will involve nursing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: administration of study drugs, EKGs, and other procedures determined by protocols, biospecimen collection, and design of training materials and logistics for clinical staff associated with projects. This position is at-will and primarily grant funded, serving within the divisions of Cardiology and Pulmonology, and possibly others as needed/funded.
