About this role

The purpose of this role is to perform and support the Reporting & Controllership activities for APAC markets, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence across P&L, Balance Sheet, and related processes required each month, quarter and year-end, as well as supervise the execution of lower risk activities.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

  • Actuals Reporting & Period-End Close Support

    • Lead and review Intercompany, P&L, BS, and CPS submissions for APAC markets, including resolving mismatches and coordinating with market teams for corrections.

    • Monitor non-underlying and exceptional items movements, ensuring accurate template submissions and timely responses to Group queries.

    • Prepare and share BS summaries, including NWC and cash forecast observations, with regional stakeholders, resolving findings collaboratively.

  • Compliance, Reconciliations & Control Activities

    • Oversee IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 compliance support, including coordination, collation, and review of market responses and templates.

    • Conduct Coupa Bellin AP confirmation checks and follow up on unconfirmed invoices for the markets.

    • Review and approve key and non-key account BS reconciliations for Singapore and other markets.

    • Perform unassigned and unassociated accounts checks, ensuring KPI impact is not adverse before FCAT reviews.

  • 3. Market Support, Query Handling & Stakeholder Coordination

    • Address GEMS, CBRE, and audit queries, collate responses, and support documentation for audits and compliance.

    • Provide BPC troubleshooting, guidance, and training to market teams.

    • Participate in daily huddles, APAC meetings, and regional forums in working groups and updates.

    • Support ad-hoc month-end queries, documentation, and correspondence.

  • 4. Forecasting, Budgeting & Operational Planning Support

    • Lead RF & budget file reviews, rollovers, and compliance checks for NWC and BS forecast submissions.

    • Prepare yearly timelines and holiday calendars, arranging for BS submission requirement notes and market prep calls.

    • Support yearly tax pack submission and market follow-ups on changes or revisions.

    • Manage BPC change requests for client additions and entity changes.

  • 5. Process Improvement & Automation

    • Drive efficiencies through automation (e.g., AI-driven anomaly checks, macros for reporting and file segregation).

    • Maintain updated SOPs and contribute to process stabilization and risk reduction.

  • Professional Skills & Qualifications

    • Semi-qualified Accountant (CA/CPA/MBA Finance preferred) with 5–8 years’ experience in accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting.

    • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint; SAP BPC experience is an advantage.

    • Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Agile, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and learning.
