We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our cloud-based dentistry applications (DS Core). In this role, you will lead research initiatives to uncover deep insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points, driving the development of innovative solutions that empower dental practitioners and enhance dental care delivery. As a Senior UX Researcher, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, developers, clinicians, and other stakeholders, ensuring that our clinical applications are designed with a user-centered approach.
- UX research insights: Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis, to gain deep insights into the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our users.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, UX designers, UX researchers, developers, and clinical experts to integrate research insights into the design and development process. Participate in cross-functional meetings and discussions to share findings, support design decisions and shape long-term UX strategy.
- Research-Driven Decision Making: Utilize research findings and data to inform and influence product design and development decisions. Advocate for the user's perspective and advocate for user needs throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support Research Planning: Assist in defining research goals and developing research plans that align with project objectives. Contribute to prioritizing research activities based on project needs and timelines.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with industry trends, emerging research methods, and advancements in dental care. Apply new knowledge to improve research practices and contribute to innovative design solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive psychology, anthropology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Years and Type of Experience:
- 5+ years of UX research experience in an industry setting, with a demonstrated ability to lead research initiatives and influence product strategy.
- Proven track record of leading impactful UX research initiatives and driving user-centered design within organizations.
- Experience working with a global multi-disciplinary team of UX professionals, Product/Solution Managers and Architects/technical leads throughout the design process.
- Experience in B2B and/or complex software systems is a plus
Keys skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, effectively translating complex research insights into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in various research methodologies and tools, with the ability to adapt methods to specific project needs.
- Strong stakeholder management—ability to engage and align teams around user insights and drive design decisions based on research.
- Interest in complex B2B products, with a curiosity for understanding highly technical or specialized user workflows.
- Business English Fluency is a must. Mastery of German or any other languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (up to 10%) for user research and stakeholder collaboration.
